It is with great sadness we advise of the passing of Angela Rose Ruby Crawford (nee: Natrall). Angela descends from the James / Natrall, & Reid /Bones families and was born in Squamish, BC on January 25, 1962. She is predeceased by her parents James & Marjorie (nee Reid) Natrall and she passed away peacefully on February 26, 2018 in North Vancouver at Lionsgate Hospital. She was 56 years young.
Angela grew up in the British Properties and attended West Vancouver Secondary School. She also attended Eslha7an Learning Centre’s programs (was a teacher’s aide for a time) and studied Squamish Language a Capilano University. She can best be remembered for her kindness, sense of humour and laughter. Angela resided on Capilano IR No. 5 and loved her community; she was caring and kind to family, neighbours and friends. Angela attended community events, particularly funerals, as it was important to her to honour our Squamish Nation families in a good way. Angela was known as “a fighter”. In 2007 she suffered a massive stroke and had to relearn speech, reading and writing. Through a strenuous convalescence she thrived with help from family, nurses, doctors and facilities. Her legacy would be her “Recovery” - her message to “keep on keeping on!”
Angela is survived by and will be dearly missed by her loving husband of 16 years Darryl; sisters Susan Laura Natrall, Mary Jane Natrall; brothers Allan Natrall (Laverne), Charles Natrall (Kathy); and many nieces, nephews, loving relatives and dear friends.
A prayer service will be held on Mar 1 at 7:00 pm and a funeral Service on Mar 2 at 11:00 am and both at Totem Hall, 1380 Stawamus Rd, Squamish, BC. On line condolences can be found at www.glenhavenmemorialchapel.com
