Anastasia Mileos

Anastasia was born in Komma, Greece in 1938. The youngest of 6 children, she left her “Patrida” in 1961 to follow the love of her life and adoring husband Anthony (who predeceased her in March of 1994) to Vancouver, BC.

Anastasia – affectionately known as “Mama-Bear” and “The Godmother” will be missed immensely by her son Paris (Myriam), daughter Joanna (Craig) the “apple of her eye” granddaughter Antonia (Ali), and many family and friends in Canada, Greece, and the United States.

Armed with a fabulous sense of humour and a kind and generous heart, Anastasia was also known for her savvy business sense. She loved to travel, having taken many trips with her family to Greece, Las Vegas, Florida, Hawaii, and many different places around the world with close friends. Unfortunately, dementia took the better part of her last few years.

A heartfelt thank you to her dedicated team of home caregivers – Gerlie, Rhea and Imelda – who treated Tessa with much compassion and love in her final years.

A funeral service will be held at St. George's Greek Orthodox Church on Tuesday March 22nd, 2022 at 10:30 am followed by entombment in the south mausoleum of Ocean View Cemetery 4000 Imperial St, Burnaby, at 12:00 pm.
