Tom Pinkerton, 83, of Cedarville, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at his home. He was born March 23, 1930 in Dyer, AR to the late Tom and Anna Marie Pinkerton. He was a mechanic, and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carmen Pinkerton.
He is survived by his companion and best friend, Ruby Fain; a daughter, Virginia Pinkerton of Van Buren; three sons, Tommy, Shaun, and Victor Pinkerton of Cedarville; a sister, Annella Brewer of Cedarville; a brother, James Pinkerton of Windsor, CO; seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 7, 2014 at Uniontown Baptist Church, with burial to follow at the Uniontown Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be Mike Hoover, Danny Hoover, Tim Young, Pete Fain, Eddie Cluck, and Vincent Overby. Honorary pallbearers are James Richensin, Vernon Russell, Dean Russell, Steve Davis, Thomas Fusher, and Mark Groman.
The family will visit with friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 2014 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
