Susie Parnell

Susie Parnell, 76, of Alma, passed from this life to her heavenly home on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at 8:25 p.m. surrounded by her family. Singing and rejoicing her home coming. She was born October 9, 1947 in Paris, Arkansas to the late David and Cora Edith (Pettigrew) Bideler.

In addition to her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Parnell; two sisters, Bobbie Rice and Jane Rogers; and three brothers, David “Sonny” Bideler, Jerry Bideler, and Ronny Bideler.

Sandra is survived by a daughter, Sandra Kay Moore and husband Daniel of Alma; a son, David Parnell and wife Tracy of Alma; her sisters, Ann Pettigrew and husband Tom of Fort Smith, Billie Riley of Muldrow, and Shannon Robertson and husband Phillip of Muldrow; four grandchildren, Ryleigh Parnell, Tyler Parnell (Makenzie), Orin Parnell (Cassidie), and Tristan Parnell; and four great-grandchildren, Maylee, Gracie, Parker, and Myles Parnell; along with many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at Woodland Hills Church in Roland with interment to follow at the Fort Smith National Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Moore, Phillip Moore, David Tucker, Noal McKinney, Randy Bideler, and John Wigley.

The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
