Stella Darlene Bowers

Darlene Bowers, 75, of Van Buren, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2023 in Fort Smith. She was born January 24, 1948 in Washington D.C. to the late Ralph and Stella (Oxindine) Craig. She was retired from City National Bank.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herschel C. Bowers, Jr.; two sisters, Patricia Barnett and Alicia Baugh; and a brother, Ralph Craig.

She is survived by a daughter, Dee Brown and husband Larry of Natural Dam; a son, Chuck Bowers and wife Cinnamon of Natural Dam; five grandchildren, Brittney Walker (Shea), Samantha Mizell (Sheldon), Nick Brown (Natalie), Jennifer Henderson (Gier), and Aeron Moran (Raelynne); nine great-grandchildren, Blaine and Millie Walker, Bower Zan Mizell, Rainy, Lilly, and Ivy Henderson, Ryleigh and Lily Brown, and baby girl Moran; and a niece, Debra Barnett.

Memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR. Ashes will be placed at Hall Cemetery at a later date.

The family will visit with friends from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
