Shelby Nichole Valdez, 31, of Alma, passed away Friday, December 16, 2022 in Fayetteville. She was born November 21, 1991 in Fort Smith. She had worked for Jobs+Plus. She loved her Papa and family, and loved singing, and the Rugrats. Shelby never met a stranger and touched the lives of everyone she met.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Nancy Mitchum and Damon Young.
She is survived by her parents, Sherri and Jay Pitts; a sister, Emily Moore; a brother, Samuel Moore; and her grandfather, Paul “Papa” Mitchum, all of Alma.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with a private interment to follow at Chastain Cemetery in Alma, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
The family will visit with friends from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour, Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
