Rebekah L. (Becky) Rapin-Lunsford, 42, of Van Buren, passed away unexpectedly in her sleep on Friday, April 3, 2015. She was born February 24, 1973 in Fortuna, CA. Becky graduated High School in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and WestArk Community College, Fort Smith - LPN Nursing Program and had worked in home health as a Licensed Practical Nurse. In 2014 she was awarded "Keeper of the Flame" by the U S Army Ordnance Corps Association. She was a delightful, giving and caring person who, for ten years, raised her eldest son as a single working mother until she met and married Wayne Lunsford. With her family, Becky attended Shady Grove Baptist Church in Figure Five, Arkansas. She loved and was loved unconditionally.
Becky is survived by her husband, SFC Wayne Lunsford of the home; two sons, Spencer Rapin and Sammy Lunsford of the home. She is the daughter of Sherry and Rich Rapin, Sr. of Fort Smith, and the sister of Rich Rapin, Jr., (wife Michelle Rapin) of Van Buren and Kerri Siler of Fort Smith. She is also survived by nephews Brad Cargill, Joe Cargill and Matthew Conley and nieces Amanda Rapin, Allyson Rapin and A. J. Rapin.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with committal at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 9, 2015 at the Fort Smith National Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2015, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
