Lewis Wayne Harrell

Lewis Wayne Harrell, 86, of Alma, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at his home. He was born June 21, 1937 in Alma to the late Crigler and Alberta (Pool) Harrell. He served in the Air National Guard and had been a teacher in Cedarville, Alma, and Fort Smith. He attended Pigeon Creek Freewill Baptist in Mountainburg.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Harrell.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Agnes Harrell of the home; a daughter Marcy Blanton and husband Dan of Alma; a son, Tom Harrell and wife Heather of Alma; six grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 1, 2023 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Byers Cemetery in Alma, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.

Pallbearers will be Jake Harrell, Brooks Blanton, Justin Blanton, Trey Stanfill, Dillon Carr, Dallas Carr, and Nick Harrell.

The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, June 30, 2023, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
