Larry Douglas Holbrook

Larry Douglas Holbrook, 65, of Van Buren, passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2015 in Fort Smith. He was born August 26, 1950 in Greenville, TX to the late James F. and Mary O. Bacon Holbrook. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Rickey Holbrook.

He is survived by five sisters, Venita Rice of Lavaca, Janice Gilbreth and husband Bobby of Alma, Mary Quinley and husband Bill of Niceville, FL, Julia Whitehead of Barling, and Regenia Goodnight and husband Jerry of Van Buren; three brothers, Dewey Holbrook and wife Betty of Van Buren, Adrain Holbrook of Van Buren, and Bobby Holbrook and wife Willie of Van Buren; six nieces, nine nephews, and numerous great-nieces and -nephews.

Graveside service will be 4:00 p.m. Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.

Pallbearers will be Zach Goodnight, Tyler Goodnight, Brent Dickens, Kyle Putman, Jerry Goodnight, and Bobby Gilbreth.

The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, September 11, 2015 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren.
