Larry Gene Franklin

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Franklin.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Melissa Franklin of the home; two daughters, Julie Hobbs and husband Nick of Lavaca, and Emily Richardson and husband Sean of Alma; a brother, Jerry Franklin and wife Linda; a granddaughter, Katie Newton; four grandsons Hunter Hobbs, Clay Hobbs, Mason Richardson, and Layden Richardson; and his loyal companion, Jake.

Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR. A private family service will be held at a later date.

The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, March 24, 2025, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
