Larry E. Dixon

Larry E. Dixon, 79, of Van Buren, died Sunday, November 3, 2013 in Fort Smith. He was born August 6, 1934 in Yates Center, KS to the late Carl and Katherine Dixon. He was a retired Regional Production Manager for Acme Brick in Fort Smith and was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marcella Dixon and his son, Wade Dixon.

He is survived by two daughters, Mischelle Merrywell and her husband Steve of Fort Smith, Mary Bittle and her husband Chris of Azle, TX; sister, Peggy Ferree of Yates Center, KS; seven grandchildren, Eric Dixon, Heather Polk and her husband Dave, Hannah Watson and her husband Josh, Chris Merrywell, Robyn Brashier and her husband Thomas, Adam Bittle, Chad Bittle; three great grandchildren, Brayden Polk, Greyson Polk, and Noah Merrywell.

Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel. Ashes will be interred at Holy Cross Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
