Larry Barnett

Larry Barnett, 64, of Van Buren, passed away Monday, March 3, 2014. He was born January 17, 1950 in Searcy, AR to the late Roy and Dorothy Barnett. He was a retired Postal Worker out of the Downtown Station in Fort Smith, and an ordained minister with the Pentecostal Church of God. He was a member of the House of Praise Church in Fort Smith, where he also taught Sunday school.

He is survived by his wife, Feona of the home; a daughter, Becky Norvell and husband Jason of Texas; a son, Matthew Barnett and wife Christy of Van Buren; three sisters, Commie Porter of Cabot, Reta McCoy of Searcy, and Judy Garrett of Mayflower; and five grandchildren, Kennedy Barnett, Bethany Norvell, Micaiah Barnett, Jackson Norvell, and Mickenzie Barnett.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 7, 2014 at the House of Praise Church in Fort Smith, with a committal service at Bethesda Cemetery in Rosebud, AR at noon on Saturday, March 8, 2014, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.

The family will visit with friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 2014 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
