Karen Hesson

Karen Hesson, 66, of Van Buren, passed away Friday, January 25, 2019 in Fort Smith. She was born September 23, 1952 in Mulberry to the late Cecil and Berniece Bennett. She was a meat processor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Gale Bennett.

She is survived by her companion, Rudy Hesson of the home; a son, Michael Hesson of Hackett; a sister, Judy Williamson and husband Kip of Blanchard, OK; four brothers, Carl Don Bennett and wife Sue of Tulsa, Joe Bennett and wife Regina of Catoosa, OK, Clay Bennett and wife Pam of Poteau, and Bryan Bennett and wife LaDonna of Cedarville; and three grandchildren, Michaela Hesson and Jacob Hesson, both of Alma, and Maggie Hesson of Hackett.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Dyer Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Heckman, Tee Hesson, Matt Bennett, Kelton Williamson, Jacob Hesson, and Scott Durham.

The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, January 28, 2019, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
