Jimmy Hicks, 82, of Kibler, passed away Friday, December 10, 2021 at his home. He was born April 3, 1939 in Mulberry to the late Ed and Vera Hicks. He worked at Arkhola Sand & Gravel for 42 years and served in the U.S. Army. He attended Kibler Assembly of God for 25 years, Alma Assembly of God for 25 years and Beyond Church in Alma for 10 years.
He is survived by his wife of almost 63 years, Laverne Hicks of the home; three sons, Kevin Hicks and wife Diane of Alma, Randal Hicks and wife Kelly of Fort Smith, and Adam Hicks and wife Julie of Kibler; eight grandchildren, Jonathan, Dustin, Brandi, Marissa, Amanda, Holly, Caitlin, and Chris; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Chapel with burial to follow at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Hicks, Randal Hicks, Adam Hicks, Fred Allen, Tony Maxwell and Tommy Harrell.
The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, December 13, 2021, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
