Henry Edward Howard

Henry Edward Howard, 82, of Mountainburg, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2022 at his home. He was born June 25, 1940 in Fort Smith to the late Vern and Rose (Caudle) Howard. He was a 1958 graduate of Alma High School; and retired from the Arkansas Air National Guard. He was a Mason and a member of the Fine Springs Lodge #439 and the Clear Creek Lodge #332; and a member of the Dean Springs Missionary Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Dinna Ketchum.

He is survived by his wife, Juanita Howard of the home; two daughters, Theresa Brewer of Alma, and Angelia von Bose of Springdale; a son, Micheal Howard of Alma; a sister, Sheryll Gregory of Mountainburg; four brothers, Raymond Howard of Alabama, Freddy Howard of Alma, Donnie Howard of Palestine, TX, and Johnny Howard of Alma; nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at the Fort Smith National Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.

Pallbearers will be his grandchildren.

The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
