Glenda Rogers

Glenda Ruth Rogers, 68, of Van Buren, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2016 in Fort Smith. She was born April 14, 1948 in Columbus, KS. She retired from Klein Tools after 32 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Rogers; her father, James Thornburg; her mother and stepfather, Cecil and Winford Rankin; a sister, Patricia Moses; and two brothers, Robert W. Thornburg, and Jimmy Dale Thornburg.

She is survived by a daughter, Jamie Burnside and husband Joe of Van Buren; two sisters, Cricket Tuller of Carthage, MO, and Sarah Pitchford of Tulsa; a brother, Joe Thornburg of Wagner, OK; two grandchildren, Talon Burnside and wife Jessica, and Rheannon Burnside; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation will follow the service under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.

Family will visit with friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
