Glen Smith

Glen Odom Smith, 79, of Alma, AR, died Sunday, April 22, 2012 in Fort Smith, AR. He was born November 13, 1932 in Friona, TX. He was a self-employed builder and also worked for Rouse Builders in Fort Smith, AR.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Smith of the home; three daughters, Cindy Winborn and her husband James of Alma, AR, Brenda Harmon and her husband Mike of Alma, AR and Glenda Kimes and her husband Jeff of Burlson, TX; two sisters, Wilma Whitener and her husband Howard of Texico, NM and Fern Tharp and her husband Nathan of Texico, NM; two brothers, Dean Smith and his wife Georgiena of Lovington, NM and Billy Smith and his wife Suezy of Vovina, TX; nine grandchildren, Erica Hutchinson, Corey Bray, Sarah Moore, Aaron Bray, Scott Kimes, Alicia Presley, Jay Winborn, Derek Kimes and Zack Harmon; eight great grandchildren, Koen, Adeline, Mason, Kenzley, Asher, Ellie, Callie and Graham.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, April 26, 2012 at Trinity Baptist Church in Alma, AR with burial at Newberry Cemetery in Alma, AR. under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren, AR.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons.

The family will receive friends from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral home in Van Buren, AR.
