Gideon Jackson

Gideon Halal Jackson, 14, of Van Buren, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2017. He was born June 23, 2002 in Fort Smith. He attended Van Buren Freshman Academy, and was a member of Heritage United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Carolyn Brewer and Patricia Jackson.

He is survived by his parents, Aaron and Robin Jackson of the home; a sister, Israel Jackson of the home; a brother, David Kalek Jackson of the home; and a grandfather, Roy Jackson of Dyer.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at First Baptist Church Main Worship Center in Van Buren with interment to follow at Gill Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.

Pallbearers will be Steve Kelton, Nathan Elliot, Mike Kneeland, Bob Odiorne, Daniel Webb, and Danny Cox.

The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
