Dorila “Doris” Swindle, 98, of Van Buren, passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at her home. She was born March 10, 1923 in Española, NM to the late Augustine and Magdalena (Lucero) Sisneros. She was a retired co-owner/operator of the Western Auto Store in Van Buren; and a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and their Altar Society. She was preceded in death by her husband, William G. “Bill” Swindle.
She is survived by a daughter, Phyllis Hedrick and husband Joe of Fort Smith; two grandsons, Scott Hedrick and wife Kara, and Chris Hedrick and wife Natalie, all of Fort Smith; and two great-grandsons, Kameron Hedrick and Luke Hedrick.
Rosary will be recited 6:30 p.m. Monday, December 6, 2021 at St. Michael Catholic Church. A private committal will be held at the Fort Smith National Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
