Donnell Waid, 51, of Fort Smith, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021. He was born August 2, 1970 in Long Beach, CA to the late Burton and Edna Waid. He worked for Baldor, and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Fort Smith. He most recently lost his youngest daughter, Brinae Whatcott.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Bridgette Waid of the home; two daughters, Serenity Chandler of Fort Smith, and Cassandra Jones of Alma; a son, Josh Waid of Fort Smith; a son-in-law, Ram of Fort Smith; a sister, Klynn Lindsey and husband Jesse of Ozark; two brothers, Burton Waid and wife Pam, and John Waid and wife Becky, all of Alma; a sister-in-law, Kathy Webber of Ontario, Canada; a brother-in-law, David Webber and wife Anne of Ontario; and nine grandchildren, Savanna, Sam, Mady, Noah, Aden, Abby, E.J., Ellie-mae, and India.
Family-hosted memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 4, 2021, along with his daughter, Brinae Whatcott, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Fort Smith. Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
