Donald “Spanky” Watkins, 70, passed away Friday, December 17, 2021 at his home. He was born December 7, 1951 in Mulberry to the late Amos and Mae (Collum) Watkins. He was a retired bus driver for Mountainburg Schools, a member and former president of the Crawford County Car Club, and loved the Razorbacks.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters Melba Deaton, Betty Madison, and Laura Key; and two brothers, Loren Watkins and Tommy Watkins.
He is survived by his wife, Catheren Ann Watkins of the home; a daughter, Jennifer Bonilla of Fort Smith; a son, Wesley Watkins and wife Maggen of Fort Smith; a brother, Eddie Watkins of Muskogee; and two grandchildren, Alyssa Bonilla and Maelyn Watkins.
The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home. Mr. Watkins will be cremated following the visitation, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
