Darrell Smith, 76, of Van Buren, passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2021. He was born August 3, 1944 in Fort Smith to James and Nettie Smith. He was retired from Walmart. He was preceded in death by his wife, Minna “Mickie” Smith; and nine siblings.
He is survived by a son, Dub Smith and wife Kristi; two sisters, Barbara McKowen and Georgia Polk; four grandchildren, Cole Smith, Ally Johnson and husband Jacob, Nycole Ellis, and Maverick Ellis; and a great-grandchild, Aliya Ward.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel followed by a private committal at Gracelawn Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Pallbearers will be Dub Smith, Cole Smith, Maverick Ellis, Jacob Johnson, Dwight Hamby, and Everrett Hogan.
Viewing will be from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday, February 15, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
