Charles Nolan Jeffers, 81, of Alma, passed away Friday, June 9, 2023 at his home. He was born December 10, 1941 in Warren to the late Nolan and Mabel (Belin) Jeffers. He served in the U.S. Army, and was a retired shift superintendent for Quanex (MacSteel).
Charles was a hardworking, loyal man who loved his family deeply, notably his wife of 35 years, Becky. He took pride in his career in the steel industry and enjoyed the comradery with his fellow employees. He was strong and sensible and everything in between. A man of few words, but whose words spoke volumes. He enjoyed the simple pleasures in life; being surrounded by those he loved, fishing and taking his dogs for a ride in the truck.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Becky Jeffers.
He is survived by a daughter, Debra Jeffers of North Carolina; two sons, Charles Jeffers and wife Tracy of Tomball, TX, and Thomas Jeffers and wife Karen of Alma; a sister, Rebecca Lunsford of Hot Springs; nine grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 15, 2023 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
