Betty Jean Knight

Betty Jean Knight, 82, of Alma, passed away Friday, January 29, 2016 in Fort Smith. She was born March 15, 1933 in Chicago to the late Frank and Cresence Strasser. She was a homemaker, and was preceded in death by her husband, Orvel Knight, three grandsons, one granddaughter, and two great-grandsons.

She is survived by four daughters, Anna May Carter of East Prairie, MO, Patsy Gravil of Sikeston, MO, Cres Julian of Van Buren, and Donna Clark of Hackett; four sons, Frank Finney of Wentzville, MO, Charles Finney of Mulberry, Edgar Finney of Fort Smith, and Bud Finney of Van Buren; 23 grandchildren, 66 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 1, 2016 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Alma, AR, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.

The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, January 31, 2016, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
