Alexander James “Big T” Thompson, 28, of Fort Smith, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2022. He was born May 1, 1994 in Fort Smith. He was a plumber for Houck Plumbing, and an Eagle Scout. He loved scouting, and being outdoors. He was giving of his time and talents of which he had many. He had helped many a stranger on the side of the road. There was nothing he couldn’t fix or fix it so that no one else could. He was an amazing man. He left a ripple in this world and an even bigger hole in our hearts. If he called you “brother” – he meant it. He loved riding motorcycles, whether in the dirt or on the road, he just loved being on the go.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Eldon and Vonda Thompson, and Gerald Nichols; and an uncle, Steven McMillan.
He is survived by the love of his life, Maddie Parker of the home; his daughter, Paisleigh Lynn Thompson of Greenwood, and her mother, Madeline Jamison; his parents, Jeri Thompson of Ammon, ID, and Jeffrey Thompson and wife Shiloh of Greenwood; two sisters, Chelsea Lewis and husband Trey of Cabot, and Alexis Henry of Fort Smith; a brother, Jordan Thompson of Ammon, ID; his grandparents, Bill and Lyn McMillan of Greenwood, and Saundra Cox of Van Buren; aunts and uncles, Tenna and Terry Walters, and Christine McMillan; cousins, Warren McMillan, Kelly Walters, and Tanner McMillan; nephews, Makers Lewis and Jaxon Parker; many close friends and his faithful dog, Bandit.
Memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR. Ashes will be placed at Cross Cemetery in Greenwood at a later date.
Honorary pallbearers will be John Taylor, Nick Cribb, Landon Joyce, and Jake Parker.
