Sandra Kay Carver Coleman

Sandy was born in Catawba County on August 30, 1961 to Mamie Aileen Decker Carver & the late Elmer Lee Carver. She was married to her husband of four years and companion of eighteen, Ronnie Coleman. Sandy was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Hickory. She was an animal lover and an avid bowler. She enjoyed dancing, listening to music, cross stitching, and going on nature walks with her grandson, “Baby D.” Sandy was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who touched the hearts of many and will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her father, Elmer Carver; two sisters, Marilyn Hamby and Carolyn Carver; and a brother, Ricky Carver.

Survivors include her mother, Aileen Carver of Granite Falls; her husband, Ronnie Coleman of Hickory; a daughter, Samantha Morgan & husband Dusty of Morganton; a step daughter, Summer Coleman of Hickory; a step son, Carsie Coleman of Hickory; three sisters, Connie Lail & husband Stanley of Valdese, Judy Lail & husband Dean of Valdese, and Bobbie Huffman of Granite Falls; a brother, Danny Carver & wife Linda of Hickory; four grandchildren, Gabriel Morgan of Morganton, Sage Coleman, Silas Coleman, and Dalton Coleman, all of Hickory; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A celebration of Sandy’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions to assist with funeral expenses be delivered to 205 Morgan Street SE, Valdese, NC 28690. Valdese Family Funeral Care and Perfect Peace Cremations has the honor of serving the Coleman family.
