Ricky Dean Carver

Ricky was born in Caldwell County, North Carolina on April 20, 1959 to Mamie Aileen Decker Carver & the late Elmer Lee Carver. Ricky loved to fish and was known to collect anything useful. From an early age, Ricky learned to appreciate to value of good rock music. He loved his dogs and was an enthusiast of classic cars. Many fond memories remain of the times he spent, with his brother, restoring hot rods and attending car shows. Most importantly, he loved and was loved by his family and friends. Ricky will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his father, Elmer Carver; and two sisters, Marilyn Hamby and Carolyn Carver.

Survivors include his mother, Aileen Carver of Granite Falls; four sisters, Connie Lail & husband Stanley of Valdese, North Carolina, Sandy Coleman & husband Ronnie of Hickory, North Carolina, Judy Lail & husband Dean of Valdese, and Bobbie Huffman of Granite Falls; a brother, Danny Carver & wife Linda of Hickory; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A celebration of Ricky’s life will be held at a later date. Valdese Family Funeral Care & Perfect Peace Cremations has the honor of serving the Carver family.
