Leslie D. McNabb

Leslie Darlene Pruitt McNabb, age 55, of Morganton, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 5, 2013 after a long battle with A.L.S. Leslie was born August 20, 1957 in Hickory to the late Lester Pruitt and Hazel Auton Pruitt. She was a longtime member of Laurel Haven Baptist Church and when her health permitted, was active in youth ministries.

Along with her parents, Leslie is preceded in death by a brother, Leonard Pruitt.

Those left behind to cherish Leslie’s memory include her husband of 37 years, Joel McNabb of the home; four sons, Jason McNabb of Hickory, Jeremiah McNabb and his wife, Natasha of Connelly Springs, Jacob McNabb of Morganton, and Joshua McNabb of Hildebran; a sister, Tina Anderson in North Carolina; and a sister-in-law, Carol Pruitt of Gaylesville, AL. Also surviving are two grandsons, Jonah and Jeremy McNabb.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Laurel Haven Baptist Church with the Reverend Ed Lawing officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the McNabb family to assist with medical and funeral expenses.
