Susan Cleone Hays

Susan Cleone Hays, beloved wife, mom, and grandma, passed away on August 30th, 2023. She is survived by her husband of fifty-one years, Dennis, daughter Deborah, son-in-law Matt and grandsons Kris, Tristan, Justin, and Dylan. She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank Martin, and Cleone Martin. She also leaves behind her sisters and many friends.

Susan was born in Salt Lake City, Utah and moved to Southern California with her family when she was six months old. They eventually moved to Upland where she went to high school. She graduated from Chaffey College and worked at San Antonio Hospital where she met her husband. They settled in Alta Loma, where they raised their daughter.

In later years, she retired from the State of California and spent her time supporting her grandsons in their endeavors, traveling, and doing various activities with family and friends. She also enjoyed time at home with her husband and their dog, Cody.

Throughout her life she was an avid traveler and adventurer and she spent her free time exploring and photographing our beautiful county. She was a true animal lover and advocate, and asked that you consider giving to a cause to help animals.

She will be missed terribly.
