Steven Alan Otis Smith

Son of Richard Frank & Sonja Arvella Smith (Donna Rae step-mother).

He had one brother, Mark Adam Frank Smith.

Steve married Stephanie F. Slape February 2, 1979 in Alta Loma, Ca.

Sealed in the Redlands Temple April 10, 2004.

B.S. in Banking and Finance, Pepperdine University, 1983

He loved his son, Shaun Alan & daughter, Cassandra Fern.

He was grandfather to 5 beautiful grandchildren.

Madison Ann Eccles, Sonja Faye Eccles, Quinnton Pratt Eccles,

Charlotte Fern Eccles & Sebastien Edward Otis Smith.

Steve was a boy scout, a cross-country runner, surfer, paintballer, held a passion for the desert, exploring & off-roading. He loved his “Lights Out” softball team. He was ready for any adventure or challenge put before him; he lived an active life building & remodeling his home.

As a sales representative, he worked for Furnas Electric, Cutler-Hammer, Eaton Corporation, Siemens, Schneider Electric, Molex and TE Connectivity. Even as a partner in Action Sales, he wasn’t content. He was happier as a commendable & exceptional salesman!

Steve held many positions in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from: Sunbeam teacher, Scout leader, Sunday School teacher, High Priest Group Leader, to Temple & Family History leader.

A friend recently said, “he was a great man - had so many things going for him, active, fun personality, love of keeping busy and enjoying life, love of serving others, he loved his family immensely! The list goes on and on. He was one of our heroes in the ward, he was always dependable – if you needed help, Steve was there.”
