We met in 2005 as co-workers at Sedgwick.  We quickly became friends when we were both still working in the office.  From there we adopted each other as family.  She had my children call her Nana, and a true Nana she was to both of my sons.  We were all always ways there for Sandi whenever she needed anything.  We shared  so many meaningful adventures and good times over the years.  There is a definite emptiness without you Sandi.  May you rest in peace.

we met in 2005 at Sedgwick as co-workers.  i remember Sandi would prepare for a fire drill by grabbing her purse and photos of her grand children before heading down the stairs.  Sandi didn't just welcome anyone into her "personal life" so I feel privileged to have been invited there.  We shared so many meaningful experiences and  adventures over the years.  She asked my children to call her Nama, and a true Nana she was to them.   My family was always there for Sandi whenever she needed anything.  Though she was insistent that things always be done her way, I have to say I learned a lot from her as a result.  i miss you so much Sandi.  I will never forget you and all the times that we shared.  

I was deeply saddened to hear of Sandi’s passing. I have fond memories of working with Sandi for about 13 years and we connected the first time I met her. She was always my go to nurse when it came to teaching a new case manager and she was always ready to teach as teaching was her passion. I hope she is at peace. I am hoping that her loved ones remember the good times and find moments of peace during this time of pain.  My deepest sympathies for your loss. Allison B

My sincere condolences.  I worked with Sandi for the past 8 years and she was always someone that was willing to answer questions or educate and was a true mentor for me in UR.  I’m truly sad she didn’t get to enjoy more time in her retirement.  Prayers to everyone.  Lisa

Sandi was a beloved nursing colleague who I had the privilege of working with for 15 years.  We shared many laughs and became friends. She was always quick to give advice and support when needed. She will be missed .

My dear Sandi,  46 years of being friends just wasn’t enough. We have been through more than most, but through it all we always knew we had each other.  1977 was the start, both Smith, both building our homes and our futures, little did we know it was just the start of an amazing friendship. 

Special occasions and holidays together, fun trips, weekly dinners, shopping, casino crawls and heart to heart talks. Happy and sad tears, accomplishments and just plain old life.  We were a constant I will miss. 

Your trust in having me help you and care for you was an honor and a privilege. Until I see you again, your work is now to be head nurse to the Angels. Rest in Peace dear Sandi. We got you covered here and Gidget will be well cared for and loved.
