Richard (Rich) Melvin Smith, 69, of Rancho Cucamonga California, passed away at San Antonio Regional Hospital in Upland California on November 17, 2022. Richard was born in Ely, Nevada on June 1, 1953 to Joseph and Ivern Beckstead Smith. Richard is preceded in death by his parents. Richard was the youngest of 6 children. He is survived by 2 sisters Vicki Coca and Linda Brooks. Preceded in death Brothers Ray Smith and David Gardner and one sister Leah Coca. Richard is survived by 5 children. Richard Smith, Rachel Smith Bobst, Joseph Smith, Christopher Smith, and Leah Smith. Richard is also survived by 3 grandchildren Zoey Bobst, Teagen Bobst, and Jax Bobst. Richard was devoted to the union (UFCW) and worked for Alpha Beta and Ralphs for 40 years. Favorite pastimes were watching his favorite shows on television, working towards winning the lottery, and finding the best breakfast places in town. Richard was friendly and social to all and will be deeply missed.
