Big John was the ultimate Chaffey Tiger.  More importantly, he came to faith in Jesus Christ.  Right now, that is what really matters.

'Sorry that I missed the chance to play golf with you John!  I'll always remember one of the games at John Galvin Park though.  You were charging down the line from first, and I was on second base holding the ball thinking that "if I don't get rid of this thing, John won't slow down until we're both in the left field fence!"  'Never told you John, but I went to the dugout with a cut on the top of my left shoe.
You'll be missed John.  Your legacy lives on.

John, you were one of the good guys. We had a lot of fun playing baseball. Rest in peace BIG JOHN.

I have so many great memories growing up that include the Schick family.  John and Penny were my second parents.  John was known for having a goofy sense of humor but if you knew him you also knew he had one of the biggest hearts of anybody you could meet and would give you the shirt off his back.  Thanks Mr. John for all the great memories I have in my heart thanks to you and your family.  You will always hold a special place in my heart.  Now I'm sure you and Big Al are enjoying a glass of scotch together and watching over all of us. sitting right along with Penny and other loved ones lost along the way.  This is not Goodbye it is simply until we meet again.   Lots of Love and Prayers to the whole Schick Family,

Miss You Grandpa!!! I will treasure everyday we spent together, miss those 7:30 evening ice cream nights we shared. 30 years of true joy to have been your daughter-in-law, See you someday in heaven.
