The Train
At birth we boarded the train and meet our parents, and we believe they will always travel on our side. However, at some station our parents will step down from the train, leaving us on the journey. 
As time goes by, other people will board the train; and they will be significant; our siblings, friends, children, and even the LOVE of our life. 
Many will step down and leave a permanent vacuum. Others will go so unnoticed that we don’t realize they vacated their seats. 
This train ride will be full of joy, sorrow, fantasy, expectations, hellos, goodbyes, and farewells. Success consists of having a good relationship with all passengers requiring that we give the best of ourselves. 
The mystery to everyone is: we do not know at which station we ourselves will step down. So we must live in the best way. Love, forgive, and offer the best of who we are. It is important to do this because when the time comes for us to step down and leave our seat empty, we should leave behind beautiful memories for those who will continue to travel on the train of life. 
I wish all of you a joyful journey on the train of life. Reap success and give lots of love. More importantly, thank God for the journey.

I remember the first time I met her, it was on a day celebrating dogs birthday, I guess it was Trixie's, I was a little scared going to Brian parent's house because everyone was white and I was afraid that some of her family would give me "the look" for being Mexican, but I went and my surprise was that she welcomed me with a hug saying that she was a hugger, I felt so welcomed when she opened her arms and hugged me, since then I felt like part of the family, she wasn't the only one who made me feel that way, the whole family did, she made me feel confortable and loved, she told me that I was her favorite son in law, that melt my heart with happiness and I only said "Awww, thank you!" and then I realized that I was her only son in law and she laughed, and I said "Heyyy, I"m your only son in law!!!!" we both laughed.
She showed me love, she loved me and I will always love her, no one took me as part of her family like she did.

It's taken me days to write something because I don't ever know what to say when it comes to death and how very empty it leaves those of us here still.  I will start off by saying it's hard to explain to people who didn't live on London Avenue what the people on London Avenue mean to me.  I've never lived anywhere else that I felt so much like one big family.  We fought like family we loved like family.   I didn't have brothers by birth but for sure have brothers.  We all even acted like siblings picking on each other.  If you were outside as a child doing something you weren't supposed to be doing you would surely hear coming from one of the houses one of our many parents yelling at us.  I loved it and I think as an adult I've always searched for that type of neighborhood to raise my own family (and I have yet to find it).  With that being said, Janet was one of our many mothers.  She was so many things to so many people.  I can sill hear her voice.  I still remember every Halloween at the Lynch house.  I remember riding in the back of the station wagon and for some reason pop rocks? When we came back home to visit after moving to AZ she was usually the first person I saw and always had big hugs for us.  She has given me  a lot of advise over there years (whether I wanted it or not but she was usually right).   I used to always love how she had traditions with her grand kids and on their birthdays it would be like their own little dates with their grandmother.  I feel like I'm rambling but this was such an amazing woman.  I'm so sorry that my London Family is hurting right now and I know nothing I say or do is going to change that.  But I just want you all to know I love you and I'm so grateful that you have been a part of my life.   Picture I posted was from my wedding  in 1995<3
