Bill and I met in 9th grade almost 60 years ago. We mowed lawns together, fixed my car the hard way at his dad's service station, and he helped me in our Hilltop High School service club. He was always gregarious and helpful through the years. He was proud of his military service and always mentioned how lucky he was to marry Betsy. He was proud of his kids and grandkids. I'll miss him.


I meet Bill at Home Depot. I remember his first day on the floor in hardware, I could tell he was nervous. He was quickly recruited to use his skills to teach do it yourself workshops. He replaced a gate pole for me in my fence and the charge was small refrigerator he could donate, he knew someone who needed it. He was a talented man who loved teaching, and helping others. RIP Uncle Bill. That was his nickname at HD, as Tina worked there and called him Uncle Bill.

Bill built his last fence at our San Antonio home. I worked with him to build it and I learned so much from him. He was always so upbeat . He often said during those days that he wasn’t afraid of death, he knew where he was to spend eternity and looked forward to it. I imaging the Lord has him fixing up the gates to Heaven . They are going to be beautiful by the time we join him. 

Bill was a wonderful man! Worked with him at Home Depot always willing to help others and great mentor ! Prayers for his family 🙏  You will  truly be missed. God Bless You and will see you again one day my friend!!

Mr. Kelly was my shop teacher in H.S in the 90s. He was an amazing teacher, always kind, always there to give advice or just listen. He never judged. As an adult Mr. Kelly was a great friend and just like in H.S he listened, gave advice and never judged. He will be greatly missed.

I credit Mr. William Kelley For Teaching Me the Tricks of The Trade, on all privacy Fence and Gate Construction…..Him and That Toyota…and His Jovial Personality, will be Greatly Missed….God Bless You in Heaven….     He was A Great Teacher, and I wasn’t even ever a Student Of His….

Bill was a true teacher in his heart. He was wonderful to his students and friends. He was an example to many and already ☀️❤️missed. 

Bill and I drove from the Mexican border, Imperial Beach,Ca. To Yakima, Washington shortly before he and Betsy were married. A great trip, even getting stuck in the sand at Moses Lake, Wa. A kind and generous friend from our college days. thanks for the memories.

He sure was loved at Woodstone Elementary.  Our class made our motto be like Mr. Kelly.  We are trying our best to be like him. He made the world a better place for sure. 

  William or Kelly as he was called while working with the 433d.  He was often the sweetest person around in the AGE shop.  Bill and I when working as supervisors over two teams of members during swing shift on a UTA.  He would spring up to show some kindness before the end of the shift and offer to release his team a little time earlier than the end.  It was good memories to share the time with him, he will surely be missed.  We will see him in heaven with the Lord!         

I served with Bill at the 433rd AGE Flight.  He and I shared a lot of good memories. He really loved his family and the many students throughout his teaching career. When he worked at the FORUM I would go in and ask for his help finding something so we could  chat. RIP my friend.
