Patricia Charlton Langham of Converse, Texas ,left this world on March 28, 2025, at 11: 04 a.m. She goes on now to see her mother and father and family that predeceased her. Those of us who are left will surely miss her light, but we find happiness in knowing that she is finally at peace.
Trish, as she liked to be called, graduated from Lincoln High School with special merit for cheerleading, National Honor Society, the ‘Peppers’, the Teacher’s College coed counselors, Newcomers Welcome Society, as well as Red Cross Council, and the Future Teachers Club.
Her life as both a military child and wife took her to many places, such as Guam, all across the United States, and the United Kingdom until she finally settled in San Antonio to be near her parents.
She leaves this plane to join Sam Charlton, her father, and Laura Charlton, her mother, as well as her brother Samuel “Skip” Charlton and her sister Laurie Jo Handsel as well as her son, Thomas Siau.
She is survived by Butch Charlton, her brother, her children Sam Langham and Tricia Glenn, as well as grandchildren, Brian Morris and Samantha Rogers, as well as one great-grandson, Jaycen.
Her talents knew no bounds as she had jobs ranging from switchboard operator to regional finance manager for one of the largest construction companies in the country. Upon completion, she retired to a life of light travel, being the world’s best dog-mom, avid reader, and crocheter. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
A lifelong student, she grew and evolved into a very self-empowered and positive force that a far few people were lucky enough to get to know and love. From starting at Eastern New Mexico University to finishing her MBA, she never stopped growing. She was an inspiration and still is to all of us. She will be missed by all too many friends, family, and those that had the privilege of knowing her.
Service will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery on 18 April at 9:30 AM where she will be interred with her husband, Fred, of 35 years.
She would, and the family asks, that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to : https://lustgarten.org/ for the further development of treatment and caring for those with pancreatic cancer.
We celebrate all the time we got to enjoy her in our presence and the knowledge and patience that we gained from her. She goes to rest with all our love until we meet again.
