

SFC Toby David Kirchman went to be with his Lord on March 15, 2015. He was a retired Disabled Army Veteran and was living in San Antonio, Texas, at the time of his death. Toby was born to Lester Matthew Kirchman and Gina Diane Moore Kirchman on January 28, 1983, in Bartlesville, OK. He had a Police
escort all the way to Jane Phillips Hospital. The family knew right he was going to be a one-of-a kind male, unique in all his ways. He attended Hoover Elementary School and was the 50 yard dash winner for two years, Middle School was Madison and then Bartlesville High School. He finished High
School at Thunderbird Military Academy in Pryor, OK. He had the honor of carrying the American Flag and presenting the Graduating Class of 2000.
Toby began his military career with the United States Army when he was 17 years old. He attended basic training and advanced individual training at Ft. Benning, GA, to become an infantryman. His assignments included 3'rd Ranger Battalion, Ft. Benning, GA, L-29 lnfantry Battalion, Ft. Benning, GA, and
1-21 infantry Battalion, Schofield Barracks, Hl. Sergeant First Class Kirchman deployed twice during Operation lraqi Freedom. During lraq's first free election, his unit played a key role, securing polling stations and schools. SFC Kirchman's awards included The Bronze Star, lraqi Campaign Medal, Global
War on Terror Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terror Service Medal, NCO Professional Development ribbon, Army Achievement Medal, Overseas Ribbon, and the Army Good Conduct Medal. His badges included the coveted Combat lnfantryman's Badge, the Expert lnfantryman's Badge, and the
Army Parachutist Badge. Throughout his military career SFC Kirchman was known as an outstanding leader who sought to be in the action. Toby, "We always knew you would grow up to be "Wambo!". He hadn't mastered the R sound but he loved the Rambo movies. Toby ls survived by his parents, Lester Matthew Kirchman of Bartlesville, OK, and mother, Gina Diane Moore Kirchman of Tampa, FL, wife Mindi Wall Kirchman and her son Noah Gabriel Wall of San Antonio and daughter Gianna Bre Shulze of Phoenix, AZ. Grandmothers are Hazel Ruth Brannam Kirchman and Linda Scott Moore of Bartlesvillle, OK. Two sisters, Crystal Susanne Kirchman Fitch and husband Michael Alan Fitch of Bowie, TX, and Nicole Elizabeth Kirchman Ramey and husband Joseph Ramey of Broken Arrow, OK, two brothers, Levi Raphael Hatter, of Coffeyville, KS and Clinton Bradley Giles of Bartlesville, OK. He is survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins and many nieces and nephews. He was a beloved Uncle Toby. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, David Randolph Kirchman, Bobby Gean "Bob" Moore, "Papa JD" Brannam and grandmothers Anna Lucille Brannam, Mary lda Evaline Hawkins and niece Whitney Elise Kirchman. After he retired Toby loved to drag race and had the honor of being known as the "One Armed Bandit" at the San Antonio Race Track. Toby had the car from the Smokey and the Bandit rnovies. Almost every weekend he was at the track with his racing buddies from the Davis Auto Shop where they all worked. He always had his beloved basset hound, Fred, with him in his truck. Funeral services will be held at Colonial Funeral Home, 625 Kitty Hawk, Universal City, Texas,78148 The Viewing will be 4-6pm Saturday, March 21 and a Chapel Service at 6pm. Pastor Alvin Baldwin will give the message. "Preacher Man" Alvin, as Toby called him, also works at Davis. Toby will be laid to rest at Arlington Cemetery later this year where he will join his band of brothers. We will miss you Toby.
