Rose Mills, age 68 of Live Oak passed away September 26, 2011. She was born October 2, 1942 in Miami County, Ohio to George and Frances (Flick) Helke. She was employed with the U.S. Civil Service at numerous bases beginning at Wright-Patterson AFB in Ohio and retiring at Randolph AFB after 42 years of service. She is preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her daughter, Denise Wheeler and husband Steve; son, Russell Mills; daughter-in-law, Katie; grandchildren, R.J., Matthew and wife Jessica, Caitlin, Kenneth, Sara, Brandon, Lucille, Joshua, and Markas; great grandsons, Jayden and Devin; sister, Judith Eikenberry and a nephew, Donald Eikenberry. A visitation will be held Thursday, September 29, 2011 from 6:00 until 9:00 P.M. and funeral services will be Friday, September 30, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Colonial Funeral Home. Anyone so desiring may make memorials to Church Under The Bridge in care of First Baptist Church in Universal City.
