Rosie, as of her friends and family called her, was the third of eight children born to Lydia and Daniel Leal. Following her graduation from Highlands High school Rosie "flew the coup" going to work for Braniff Airlines and then Pan American Airlines as a flight attendant. Her career ignited her passion for travel and it was during those days of travel she met and subsequently married her true love Antonio G. Mingalone on March 16, 1973. The couple welcomed their only child Carolina Mingalone on August 31,1974.
Rosalinda would like everyone to know that her work here is done. She received an offer she could not refuse. Her new mission takes her to a wonderful place where she will be socializing, dancing, shopping, relaxing in the sun and reading to her heart’s content. Music, laughter and love are guaranteed. The food is delicious and you never gain an ounce. She will be her mother Lydia enjoying mariachi music and likely bickering from time to time with Antonio.
Rosalinda will be deeply missed by her daughter Carolina Jauregui, son-in-law Adan Jauregui and her two beautiful granddaughters Liliana Lydia Perez and Valentina Emilia Jauregui and her puppy Mila.
Rosalinda leaves behind her incredible tribe of siblings, Gloria Hernandez (Gilbert), Mike Leal (Margie), Daniel Leal (Lupe), Xavier Leal (Joan), Wamac Leal, Blanche De Leon and Irma Dukes (Steve), Millie Leal, nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.
A memorial service for Rosalinda will be held Friday, July 6, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Colonial Funeral Home, 625 Kitty Hawk Road, Universal City, TX 78148.
