Rosa Ferguson

Rosa Del Carmen Ferguson, age 56, was called away to be with the Heavenly Father on Friday, February 4, 2022. Rosa was born July 16, 1965 in San Luis Potosí City, Mexico to Herberto and Rosa Faz Robledo.

Rosa was from a very large family. She was one of five siblings; her brothers Francisco, Carlos, and Herberto and her sister Juanita along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins both here in the US and Mexico.

After graduating from high school, she was employed as a bilingual secretary for several years. Her true dream was to become a professional dancer. She later moved to San Antonio where in the early part of 2001 she met her adoring husband, Michael Ferguson, while working as a sale associate at Burlington Coat Factory.

It was love at first sight for Michael. He thought she was the most beautiful, sophisticated, and charming woman he met. Rosa made him work for her attention though. After receiving numerous amounts of red and yellow roses from Michael, her mother jokingly said, “Enough is enough. There is no place else to put all these flowers.” When she had said yes to going to lunch with him, he felt like a school boy going on his first date. Those are the moments Michael will treasure always.

Later in 2001, Rosa and Michael were married. She was absolutely stunning on her wedding day. In 2002, they bought a house and made into their home after the birth of Michael Maximiliano. Throughout their ups and downs Rosa always loved Michael. They would have been married 22 years in August. Her love is carried on through her husband Michael Ferguson and her son Michael Maximiliano Ferguson. She was blessed with many other family members and loved one who will also carry on her memory.

A visitation for Rosa will be held Thursday, February 17, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Colonial Funeral Home, 625 Kitty Hawk Road, Universal City, Texas 78148, followed by a rosary from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM.
