Bob was survived by his 3 children, John Sawyer and his wife Nikki; Sarah Sawyer; Stephen Sawyer; 2 grandchildren Aiden and Allison; fiance Liz Wenzel; brothers Bill Sawyer, Brad Sawyer, Bruce Sawyer and Boyd Sawyer; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
After graduating Judson High School Bob proudly served in the United States Navy as a Machinist Mate. He went on to work at CPS Energy for 35 years. After his retirement he enjoyed spending time with his family and fishing. Bob was a loving Christian man who attended Live Oak First Baptist Church faithfully and was always willing to lend a helping hand whenever needed.
A graveside service for Bob will be held Thursday, July 22, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Ft Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd., San Antonio, TX 78209. We will be having a small fellowship after the graveside service at Live Oak First Baptist Church 11560 Toepperwein Rd, Live Oak, TX 78233.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, MD Anderson Cancer Center, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or charity of your choice.
