SCPO Richard James Nauman, U.S. Navy Retired

SCPO Richard J. Nauman, U.S. Navy, Retired, age 75 of Converse TX, formerly of Sierra Vista AZ passed away November 25, 2009 after a lengthy illness. He was born October 28, 1934 in Gardner, MA to George T. and Florence (Fuller) Nauman. He was a member of the Paralyzed Veterans of America, Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign War, Fleet Reserve Association, and the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Herbert Nauman and Francis Nauman. He is survived by his wife, Betty Nauman; children, Deborah Saunders, Richard Nauman, Jr. and Rolisa Arnold; 7 grandchildren; step-children, Cynthia Fritz and her husband Don, Deborah Lemmer, Steven Syas and his wife Kristine and Doreen Magliacane and her husband Jim; 12 step-grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; brothers, Robert Nauman and Walter Nauman. A memorial mass will be celebrated Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at 12:30 P.M. at St. Monica Catholic Church in Converse. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with full military honors. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Paralyzed Veterans of America or the Disabled American Veterans Association.
