Russell Brown, age 75, passed away peacefully in his home on October 21, 2016, after a courageous 2 ½ year battle with metastatic pancreatic cancer. He served in the USAF for 26 years then worked for the Texas Workforce Commission, then the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. He is survived by his wife, Claire, of 49 years, son Christopher, his wife Veronica, and 3 grandchildren, Isabella, Benjamin, and Ana Clarissa. In honor of his memory a donation in his name may be made to the Intrepid Heroes Fund (www.fallenheroesfund.org). The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all the nurses and staff of the Oncology Unit at N.E. Baptist Hospital, Dr. Dennis Rousseau, Dr. Navneet Mittal, Dr. Rajiv Vasan, Dr. John Seaworth, Dr. Murali Beeram and all their staff and to Guiding Light Hospice and Fr. Bob Hogan. Thank you for all your kindness and compassion you continuously showed. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
