Martin was born in Washington, D.C. as the second child to Martin Franklyn Hill, Sr. and Ladurose Jean Hill on April 27, 1970. Martin graduate from Wilson High School in Washington, D.C.
He joined the U.S. Army on June 15, 1989 and retired after 27 years of active duty service honorably on July 26, 2016. Martin served in eight deployments from 1990 through 2011. His decorations included Afghanistan Campaign Medal Stars with two Stars, a Bronze Star Medal and five Meritorious Service Medals.
He was very proud of his last accomplishment as a graduate of The Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute which offered him the opportunity to hold his last position as the Ft. Sam Houston Equal Opportunity Program Manager. Here is where he called himself a “Change Agent.”
Martin leaves behind wife Nicolette Hill (the love of his life), four children: Devon and Deanna Hill, Maximus and Maddix Hill, his parents Mr. Martin Franklyn Hill, Sr. and Ladurose Jean Hill of Wilson, N.C.; Sister: Brenda Faye Newton of Round Rock, T.X.; Honorary brothers : Keith Bookard and Cecil Muriel of Washington, D.C.; Honorary sister: Michelle Simmons of Fountain, CO; Mother-in-Law and Father-in-law, three sisters in laws, one brother in-law and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
