Kenneth was born September 2, 1947 in Maryville, Tennessee to Kenneth and Jane Bean. After graduating from Everett High School he attended The University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tennessee where he studied math and political science. After receiving his Bachelor’s Degree he joined the United States Air Force as an officer and was stationed in Colorado Springs.
Kenneth married the love of his life, Linda, in 1974 and they began their life in Maryville, Tennessee before he was called back into the Air Force. During his various Air Force assignments he welcomed three children—Kristen, Karen, and John—of whom he was immensely proud. Kenneth settled his family in San Antonio, Texas, which became home even after his time in the Air Force. Kenneth then worked for Lockheed Martin and Leidos and was looking forward to enjoying retirement.
Kenneth was a valued member of Live Oak First Baptist Church for 37 years where he served as a deacon, taught Sunday School, and served on various committees. He truly loved his church and the friends he made there and was a true Man of God.
Kenneth loved being around people and was happiest when he was making people laugh, teaching Sunday School, and enjoying his time with family. He loved to read, often reading multiple books at a time. He was a constant supporter of his wife and children and was at every event he could be at that involved them. Kenneth loved his God and his family and was a wonderful husband, father, and friend.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Jane Bean, and his wife, Linda.
He is survived by his children; Kristen and husband Travis Franzen, Karen and husband David Duggan, and John and wife Celeste Bean; brother Robert Bean and sister Kathryn Bean; and grandchildren Brayden, Andrew, Peyton, Luke, Aynslee, Philip, Penelope, Piper, Mark, and Parker; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
