Juanita Vasquez

Ms. Juanita Vasquez passed away on June 1, 2014 at the age of 78. She was born on June 15, 1935. Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, Hijinio and Refugia (Castillo) Vasquez; son, Daniel Vasquez Luna; and son-in-law David Flores; survived by her children, Ms. Joan Riviera & Frank Simoncelli Sr., Rosemary Flores, Gloria Luna, Frank & Martha Luna Jr., , Eddie and Esmeralda V. Luna , and Jorge Vasquez; Brothers and Sisters; Alicia V. Rodriguez and Guadalupe V. & Jose (Chema) Garza. Gene Vasquez. She also leaves behind 5 generations of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Ms. Juanita Vasquez earned a Master’s Degree in Science, was a State Educator for over 40 years, an Inspector for the Texas State Cosmetology Commission and taught Cosmetology at Judson High School. Also Ms. Vasquez was recognized and appreciated for 23 years of loyal and Valuable Service to education by San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District. A visitation will be held on Monday, June 9, 2014 from 10:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. Rosary recited at 7:00 P.M. at Colonial Funeral Home in Universal City, TX. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at 12:00 P.M. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Del Rio, TX. Interment will follow at Sunset Oaks Memorial Cemetery.
