John R. Gardner

John R. Gardner, age 70, passed away June 2, 2013. He was born October 5, 1942 in San Antonio, Texas to Aloysius and Matilda (Teichman) Gardner. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Aloysius Gardner. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years Betty C. Gardner; children, Betty Ann Huckobey, William Odell Gardner and wife Barbara, Vincent Edward Gardner and wife Daveanna, Kristine Lee Gilland and husband Hugh Dean and Sean Anthony Gardner; grandchildren, Johnny Joseph Huckobey, William Odell Gardner, Jr., Cory Vincent Gardner,Megan Elizabeth Gardner,Jacob James Gilland,Donna Jo Gilland, Audrey Jewell Gilland and Kay Marie Gardner; sisters, Edna Costantino and husband Vincent, Frankie Kusek and husband Mike, Karolyn Wisniewski and husband Paul, Kathy Miller and husband Bill; brother-in-law, Michael Hopper; Matilda and numerous other nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held Sunday, June 9, 2013 from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. with a Rosary recited at 7:00 P.M. at Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, June 10, 2013 at 12:00 P.M. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Selma. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with military honors.
