Jerry was a longtime member of Inspiration Baptist Church and then Harlandale Baptist Church. She taught bible study to young girls and then continued teaching to senior adult ladies. She spent her work career in bookkeeping/accounting, she loved to crochet and loved her travels to Europe.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Max Sellers; second husband, Donald D. McQueen; son, Larry Sellers; grandson, Scott Sellers and daughter-in-law, Diane Sellers.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her sons, Bill Sellers and wife Kathy, Max Sellers, Jeff Sellers and wife Melin, John McQueen and wife Gail; daughter, Becky Smoot and husband Lyndon; sister, Mary Shope; 10 grandchildren, Julie Brannan, Lindsey Cox, Lauren Wishkoski, Katie Singleton, Jennifer Wolber, Ryan Sellers, Miranda Sellers, Trent Sellers, Eric McQueen and Stephanie Krueger; 18 great-grandchildren, Hayden, Lilly and Mabry Tondre, Tanner Brannan, Atleigh and Trey Welch, Codielynn Cox, Scott and Evie Wishkoski, Eleanor Singleton, Sophie and Sawyer Wolber, Lily and Ben Sellers, Sutton and Truitt Krueger, Landry and Rhyder McQueen.
The family wishes to give special thanks to the nursing staff at Legend Oaks Healthcare and Hospice team with Hope Hospice.
A visitation for Jerry will be held Friday, September 1, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Colonial Funeral Home, 625 Kitty Hawk Road, Universal City, TX 78148. A funeral service will be held Saturday, September 2, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM, 625 Kitty Hawk Road, Universal City, TX 78148. A graveside service will follow Saturday, September 2, 2023 from 11:45 AM to 12:15 PM at San Jose Burial Park, 8235 Mission Rd, San Antonio, TX 78214.
Pallbearers will be Bill Sellers, Max Sellers, Jeff Sellers, Lyndon Smoot, Trent Sellers and Hayden Tondre.
