James Duff McCutcheon Jr.

Lt Colonel James Duff McCutcheon Jr. passed away at home with his loving family at his side. He was born May 19, 1927 in Scranton, PA. He enlisted in the navy in May 1945 and later transferred to the Air Force where he spent 30 years earning multiple meritorious service awards and the Bronze Star. He married Lorraine McCutcheon also from Scranton, PA. Although he was athletic in many sports, his passion was playing cards. He loved to play bridge, pinochle, and cribbage, but was passionate about his weekly poker games he hosted. He was preceded in death by his daughter, a son and his wife of 68 years. He is survived by two sons, four grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. His grace, humor and loving manner will be missed but never forgotten.

Funeral Services for Duff will be 1:00 PM Monday, November 8, 2021 at Colonial Funeral Home, 625 Kitty Hawk Rd. Universal City, TX. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM at the funeral home. Duff will be laid to rest following a committal service with military honors at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio.
