Jim went home to be with the Lord Saturday morning, September 14, 2024.
He is preceded in death by his son, Jim LeMay Junior, and his daughter Catherine LeMay.
Survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Joyce LeMay, son Mitchell LeMay and wife Therese, grandson Jared Edwards, & granddaughter Alyssa Stonestreet and husband Benjamin, and great grandson Jackson.
Jim LeMay was a man of strength and determination with an unrivaled sense of witting sarcasm. He was the store manager of Sears for years, and always ran a tight ship. He expected the same level of integrity and work ethic he displayed. Being in the Marine Corps undoubtedly helped with these qualities, but morality & principals are just a part of who he was to his very core. And he instilled those values in his family for generations to come. The only thing he loved more than being outdoors was his family. So outdoor activities and fishing trips became a staple in his family. From trips to Alaska or simply him and his son enjoying a weekend of fishing at the coast. Family was always integrated in his love for the outdoors.
In march, Jim and Joyce celebrated 60 years of marriage together. Being able to love someone that much for 60 years, and only watch that love grow stronger is such a privilege, and Joyce was the light of his life. His happiness and his home. Jim was an incredible husband, father, grandad, and great grandad. He will be terribly missed in this world, but he is home with his Lord and Savior and lived a long and happy life.
A graveside service for James will be held at 11:00a.m. Friday, September 20, 2024 at Holy Cross Cemetery, 17501 Nacogdoches Rd, San Antonio, TX 78266.
